Gamification

eLEARNING FOR NON-eLEARNING PRACTITIONERS
by The African eLearning Academy

What you will Learn:
Games are being used more and more in education as powerful problem solving tools. Games are created as problems which the players need to solve for themselves, helping to teach and retain new skills.

The process of Gamification is to create game thinking and use gaming mechanics in a traditionally non-gaming environment. People have a natural desire to compete and to achieve, and to earn rewards for success. One of the things that’s most compelling about playing video games is that you can't fail. If you don't succeed, you simply haven't won yet and you will. This Gamification learning experience teaches eLearning developers create content that is engaging, reusable, and most of all fun.
